Bipalium fuscatum
General description:
Bipalium fuscatum is a relatively large species of Bipaliinae, reaching a length of 80-120mm and a width of 7-8mm. The dorsal surface has a uniform black colouration while the ventral surface is dark grey. The creeping sole is narrow. The semilunar head is moderately large and presents slightly recurved auricles.
It is the type species of the genus Bipalium.
Distribution:
B. fuscatum can be found in Central Japan.
