Girardia desiderensis
General description:
G. desiderensis known cave specimens are eyeless and whitish. The mouth and gonopore are in the posterior half of the body.
Diagnostic description:
G. desiderensis is a cave dwelling species that presents ventral testes and an ovoid and branched bulbar cavity. The penis papilla is small and blunt. The bursal canal is broad and of angled type.
Distribution:
“Gruta da Baixa Fria” cave, São Desidério, Bambuí Geomorphological Unit, São Desidério, Bahia, Brazil. It is only known from the type locality.
