Recurva
Distribution:
Recurva along with its sister genus Schmidtea are the only Dugesiidae genera which species are exclusively inhabiting the Northern Hemisphere.
The species of Recurva have been found only in Greek islands. The type species, R. postrema, inhabits the island of Rhodes, while the second known species R. conjuncta is found in Cephalonia. A third species of Recurva identified on the basis of molecular analyses but formally undescribed species inhabits different locations in the island of Paros (Sluys et al., 2013).
